Gradient Thermal Targets (GTTs): For Live Fire Training, TVT’s Gradient Thermal Targets (GTTs) offer realistic thermal signatures, durability and value, for enhanced and improved training (“Friend/Foe” Combat Identification/ICID, Vehicle Combat Identification/VCID).

TVT knows thermal. Gradient Thermal Targets (GTTs) have been in production since 2008, after passing initial Government Acceptance Testing at Fort Benning, GA. Our patented thermal targets have been developed to withstand approximately 2000-2500 rounds of 5.56 mm, while presenting heat signatures that are consistently recognizable and usable when training with optics. GTTs offer a realistic thermal signature that is similar to what is seen during actual engagement, providing enhanced training for the soldiers. During the past several years and continuing today, the U.S Military and allies around the globe are deploying TVT’s thermal targets based on solid performance, proven durability and as a “best value” to our customers.

GTTs are available on GSA Contract #GS-07F-350AA (www.gsaadvatage.gov), and come in 120VAC and 12VDC, Regular/Standard temperature (recommended when using heating tables), Hot,  and Super Hot (for Arctic Climates ONLY).

– E-Silhouettes, F-Silhouettes and 3DK (Fat Ivan Equivalent) generate thermal signatures that are realistic and similar to what soldiers see when engaged in encounters. Our patented gradient technology replicates actual human thermal signatures for optimized Infantry Combat Identification (ICID) training.

– Blankets/Panels, Standard Squares, Wheels may be configured to replicate armored vehicles according to the U.S. Army Manual TC 25-8  for Vehicle Combat Identification/VCID training. TVT provides 2D and 3D VCIDs for visual range and aerial combat training.

Above all, GTTs offer the flexibility and adaptability that is needed for various types of training environments – from drier climates to moderate to more frigid environments. TVT also offers Passive or Non-Powered Thermals when you need a thermal signature and may wish to utilize this solution (note: performance is weather-dependent).
